Almost Impossible not to write a Bend it Like Beckham headline

You’ve already been told a million times how David Beckham’s arrival will change the face of MLS and American soccer forever. What you probably haven’t heard is that his arrival might change the face of, well, faces forever.

It is a safe bet that Hollywood plastic surgeons were licking their chops when they found out that Mrs. Beckham would be moving into town. Now they are salivating over the prospects of everyone wanting to be like Becks.

Plastic surgeons are being urged to literally bend it like Beckham after surgeon Lisa Sacks said the football superstar’s nose is the most popular for male patients.

And copies of Becks’ nose could be set for an international explosion when he arrives to launch his career in Los Angeles, the plastic surgery capital of the world.

Based in Bristol and a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, Mrs Sacks said: “I ask patients to bring in photos of noses they like and find attractive, and for males the most popular by far is David Beckham’s.

“He has a beautifully shaped nose. But people need to remember that even though they want to copy their favourite celebrities, it’s not one-size fits all.”

One Beckham body part that plastic surgeons will not be recreating is his left foot…because….drum roll….no one has ever seen it.
