Another Hat Trick for Arsenal Striker (But It’s Not Theo)

By: Daryl | September 13th, 2008

All eyes were on midweek international hero Theo Walcott at Ewood Park today, but it was Emmanuel Adebayor – who had a slightly less glorious international week – with the hat-trick as Arsenal beat Blackburn 4-0.

Walcott semi-unexpectedly started the game and set up Arsenal’s first with a great run and through ball for Robin van Perse. The youngster apparently had an all round impressive (I’ve only seen the goals) so maybe this really is Theo’s year. Another of Wenger’s British teengage purchases was involved too, with 17 year old Aaron Ramsey expertly splitting Blackburn’s defence for Adebayor’s third and final goal.

Happy days for Arsenal players young and old then. Not so happy days for Blackburn managers. That’s the second game in a row that Paul Ince’s side have shipped in four goals.
