Are These the “World’s Biggest Fans”?

Over the past couple of months, the folks at World Football Challenge have been hosting a contest to draw a bit of attention to the tournament, which started last weekend and runs through this Sunday.

(Again, you remember. World Football Challenge — the tournament where foreign clubs come to play preseason matches in the US to milk money from the US allow stateside fans to view their idols in the flesh.)

The orgainzers asked fans of the four clubs involved — Club America, Inter, AC Milan and Chelsea — to put together a video “proving their passion for their club.” Winners get a trip to one of this Sunday’s matches. The results?

Pretty cute. A little scary, but cute.

(And I’m fairly certain that no restraining orders have been issued as a result of any of these videos. Which in itself is pretty impressive.) I’m also kind of surprised — in a good way — that the breakdown is 50-50 male-female. Nice job representing our gender, ladies!

And admit it, boys and girls. When you watch these, you wish you’d participated, don’t you?

  Watching that Milan video makes me think that I should have made a video. At least I would have harder trivia questions to answer.

  are you serious? the milan video spelled names wrongs,and put players positions in wrongly (jankulovski a forward? wtf?) there is no way that kid is an ac milan fan if he seriously thinks janks is a forward.
