Aston Martin Releases A Footballer’s Dream

Aston Martin is releasing a new car. A really, really sexy new car. So sexy it’ll cost a million pounds, meaning it will become the world’s most expensive car, beating out the Bugatti Veyron, and being made exclusively for the super rich. Unfortunately only the uber rich can afford to fill it up with petrol and take it out of the garage, but that’s neither here nor there.

And when something this exclusive is released, the bookmakers start salivating and laying down odds on the first to buy one of these rare beauties - so rare only 77 will be produced. Who’s heading the queue? Manchester United’s former number 7. Not too far down the line? Manchester United’s current number 7, a current London club owner and an ex-London club owner. Of course.

The odds are currently looking like this:

9-4 Beckham
3-1 Jay Kay
7-2 Roman Abramovich
5-1 Cristiano Ronaldo
12-1 Alan Sugar
14-1 Daniel Craig
16-1 Jeremy Clarkson.

First, if you live in America, I know what you’re thinking and yes, Jamiroquai does have that much money and an equally absurd passion for motors. Now go buy a keyboard.

I’m not sure who will buy the first one, I’m hoping it’s Jeremy Clarkson for the simple purpose of Top Gear, but I do know who should be the first: Fergie. And he should take that Aston Martin, wrap a fat bow around it, put a prostitute in the passenger’s seat and drive it up Cristiano Ronaldo’s driveway. It may not keep him in Manchester, but I can’t imagine it would hurt.

Actually, I may now have a sneaking suspicion who will buy the first: Robinho. It’s no helicopter, but it’ll get the job done.
