Does anyone think it’s interesting that David Beckham falls mysteriously injured only days after wearing the green and gold scarf of the anti-glazer protests?

I smell conspiracy! The Glazer’s had Beckham offed to send a message!

Shame! He always has something to add to the game. Looks very unlikely that he will play in the world cup, or even for England ever again. This means he won’t be the first England player to appear at 4 world cups, and that the cap record will stay for a while longer.

If it had happened in early January, it could be conceivable that he would recover in time, but with less than 3 months left to the World Cup, I don’t think he has a good chance of recovery.

Sad. I know I’ve been as hard as anybody on Beckham for his lack of commitment to MLS, but he truly deserved one last World Cup for England.

I really don’t think it’s nearly as bad for England, or MLS, as all that. The one it really sucks for is Beckham himself. I don’t always love the guy, but you can’t question his dedication to his national shirt, and it must be just gutting for him to know his World Cup career is over. I do hope it doesn’t hurt Milan, because that one-point gap at the top of Serie A makes it look like it will be a fun spring to watch Italian football.

i don’t think Beckham will be the be all and end all for the continued success or eventual failure of MLS.

i do feel genuinely really bad for the guy, being injured like that, couldn’t possibly suck more. here’s hoping he gets well and can continue playing whenever that is.
