Bend it Like…Ibra?

By: Laurie | December 9th, 2008

It wasn’t enough to get Inter the win (they lost 2-1 to Werder Bremen) or to let them go top of the group, but the beauty of the trajectory of this Zlatan Ibrahimovich goal is almost enough to make up for it.

(Don’t you think Jose Mourinho would agree?)

Yeah on 24 seconds, looks like he’s fluffed it, then he only goes and does a Carlos.

Brilliant, Americans on youtube still think that goal is “faked” somehow, at the world cup final. Yes.

This is why, despite the fact I don’t much care for Inter, I really love Ibra. Bloody genius.

If you mean Roberto Carlos’ goal against France, it wasn’t at a world cup, it was at Tournoi De France in 1997, which England won! (woo)

And people who comment on youtube videos are stupid and just want to argue with someone (usually).

As for the Ibra goal…wow, I didnt think too much of the first two camera angles, but then the third one showed how well it curled.

That strike from Ibrahimovic was fucking GOLDEN. I liked the one he had at Euro 2008, I think it was against Greece? I’m not sure. But he’s really capable of putting some bend, curl, and dip on his shots.

First the flick (we featured the other day) against Lazio on the weekend… and now this curling effort… Ibra is in some superb form at the moment – at least when it comes to the “Spectacular…”

As long as Inter win the scudetto and do well in champions league Ibra will win the Ballon D’or next year. Without question the most undervalued player in the world.

I know I would pick him above C Ron, Messi et al…

Now, if he could only convert some of those sitters he has been missing. There is nothing so frustrating as watching him shoot over an open net when you know he can do things like this.

I agree completely with “Prof”. Although, I highly doubt Inter can pull off the CL, the Scuddetto is a safe bet and Ibra should surely then atleast be up for contention.

In regards to his “spectacular form”, how about his two late goals (the second of a which a wonder strike) yesterday to give Inter the win, not too mention a sublime heel assist to Stankovic.

Past week: four goals, acrobatics, assists, touches, just incredible…

and yea, the Euro goal was against Greece to give Sweden a 1-nil lead.
