Boot, Boot, Boot the ball gently down the river…

As we continue to chronicle every possible variation of soccer in the universe, this week takes us to the bucolic town of Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds in England where every summer for a century the players from the Bourton Rovers Football Club have strapped on their boots and have participated in a football match in the River Windrush, which divides the town in half. As you can see in the video above, the six-a-side, 30-minute match turned out to be a physical affair. That guy on the red team should have at least been shown a yellow card for drowning his opponent.
