Bradford City: The New Everyman

(Alright, Sometimes, it just doesn’t get any better than the cups.

You can be forgiven for not knowing just who the hell Bradford City is, as they’re well below eye level of even the most ardent fans unless you hail from England or have been following the English pyramid for more than ten years. Currently fourth tier, last of the Premier League way back in 2000, and now a verified David, slaying Arsenal in the penalties of the League Cup. Easily the upset of this current campaign, it would seem, and there’s unlikely to be another in the second half of 2012/13 as well.

Perhaps they should institute a rule where if a team fourth level or below defeats a Champions League club, they get the trophy automatically? Only seems fair.
