Calling All Beckham and C-Ron Fans…
By: Daryl | April 16th, 2008
We’re seeking out bloggers for our brand new Players Offside section. Basically we’re looking for devotees of individual players who want to write a fan blog about their fave footballer.
We currently have Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham blogs all set up and ready for someone to take the keyboard. We’ll add more players later, but right now we’re seeking bloggers for just those two.
There’s no money in it, but if you’ve got a borderline unhealthy interest (but are still very much on the sane and legal side of that oh-so-important border) in what either Becks or C-Ron do on and off the field, and want to share your obssession with a big audience, then this is for you. If so, please read our blogger guidelines and send a quick sample post to daryl[at]theoffside.com.

I reckon it could be a fun addition. Although I am sat here giggling at the idea of an ‘Inzaghi Offside’

Thinking about it - Can we have past players as well? There’s a great story in the Guardian today about Johan Cruyff that I could go crazy with.

I’d write a Zidane page, but his attorneys have said that wouldn’t be a good idea.

P.S. Note to all: I was kidding with that last comment. There have been NO attorneys involved.
That you know of.

Wild, I might try to do one of these eventually. But it won’t be because I want to write about C Ron all day. I’d go for one of my Tunisian internationals that could use more shine. Maybe when Chikhaoui comes back from injury… Or when Chermiti goes to europe. Interesting idea though…

I’m pretty interested in this. I think I might want to.

This is getting a bit silly.

Vinnie Jones Offside, I’ll take it

Football is a team sport, no? Individual player blogs on the Offside = shakes head and sighs.

Howabout a real footballer - Peter Osgood ‘The King of Stamford Bridge’ - not a women’s footballer. Lets be serious here, picking Beckham and ‘The Winker’ you just want more female writers… innit?

Sounds like an interesting idea…a bit stalkerish too.
At least there’s a better excuse for searching pictures of certain players….

Right on.
Than can we get a De Rossi, page, a Totti page, and a Bruno Conti page?
Grazie Mille.
