Canine Genius Invades Pitch

By: chris | January 14th, 2009

As is often the case with great YouTube videos, this happened some time ago, was posted, but went below the radar til someone brought it mainstream. This German shepherd invades a Hungarian first division game between Honved and Haladas in mid October. He runs around a bit, shows some moves – clearly looking for a contract – before it looks like he’s caught by a security guard also looking for a contract. But this dog is of a special breed and cunningly darts his way back onto the pitch before disappearing from his three minutes of fame.

After the game they reportedly nicknamed him Cristiano Ronaldo, but it seems a rather lazy nickname as he neither rolled on the ground and played dead nor did he take this begging opportunity to chase some tail – be it his own or not. Kinda just ran around, played to the crowd and achieved absolutely nothing at all. Maybe Nani then?
