Carlos Alberto Banned For A Little Slap & Tickle
By: chris | October 17th, 2008Well, at least the slap, and it looks like a little tickle is attempted, making it as good a theory as any.
Carlos Alberto, enfant terrible for Werder Bremen currently on loan to Botafogo, was banned eight games (8!) for inappropriate activities with an opponent’s bottom. And not “I’m going to teach you a lesson” or “the safety word is tangerine“, but something else entirely, the motives of which I leave you to discuss amongst yourselves. Suffice it to say, hardly malicious.
As you’d expect, a couple people (or everyone) have done a double take at the suspension, but the commission won’t back down, saying it was “undisciplined and immoral conduct”.
Coach Ney Franco is in an uproar as well:
“That was not an issue for the disciplinary board. It was a joke! It’s part of the game. Even our opponents were laughing at it.”
Well, can’t say I’ve ever played football in Brazil, but I’ve never had anyone try and play where’s my finger? in any sport in any part of the world. But yes, eight games does seem a tad much.

There’s nothing wrong with that! I’ve done similar things to opponents in games I’ve played when I was younger (17/18), it just messes with the other persons head.
It’s just like the Brazilian player getting sent off a few years back for kissing the referee on the cheek
Pure homophobia…

Referees, always putting their big noses in the way of love. Who is to stop their forbidden passion?
Yeah, the ban is a bit odd. I mean, the other player didn’t even seem to notice. Definitely a yellow card offense at most.

Eight games is a little harsh, but this is definitely unsportsmanlike. Carlos Alberto’s either trying to get his opponent to react and get himself sent off, or at the very least he’s trying to put the guy off his game.
Unless the opponent asked for an impromptu prostate exam, there’s no reason for C.A. to be doing that.

Pah! Alberto’s hand was always outside the other guy’s shorts. What’s the problem? No one seems be put off in the video clip.

You took so long to publish this news that it’s outdated. The punishment will be reviewed in the newer future and the players will be able to play in the meantime.
Btw… the other team is “just” GRÊMIO leader in the brazilian championship and the defender attacked by the fag Carlos Alberto is Réver, the best player in his position.
GO GRÊMIO!!!
