Champions League Group Stages Announced.
By: chris | August 26th, 2010
Your 2010/11 UEFA Champions League groups are …
Group A: Inter, Werder Bremen, Tottenham Hotspur, FC Twente
Group B: Lyon, Benfica, Schalke, Hapoel Tel Aviv
Group C: Manchester United, Valencia, Rangers, Bursaspor
Group D: Barcelona, Panathinaikos, Copenhagen, FC Rubin Kazan
Group E: Bayern Munich, Roma, FC Basel, CFR Cluj
Group F: Chelsea, Marseille, Spartak Moscow, MSK Zilina
Group G: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, Auxerre
Group H: Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk, SC Braga, FK Partizan
Or, if you prefer it in visual style…

A cursory view tells that Groups A & G are the most difficult from a depth perspective, with the latter inspiring thousands of glory days YouTube compilations from the moment of Ajax’s draw (20 titles between the three). There don’t appear to be any high-profile returns, unless you count Eduardo returning to Arsenal with Shakhtar and Kaka returning to Milan once again. Seems UEFA really dropped the ball on the narratives here today.
It all seems to be a normal, mundane tournament drawing. How dare they?
