Cobi Jones, Chris Armas and Eddie Pope Video Tributes

MLS does some things really well. Like tribute videos. Check out these two, dedicated to the recently retired longtime Chicago Fire player Chris Armas, and LA Galaxy player Cobi Jones.

And I couldn’t find an official tribute video for Eddie Pope (anybody?), but I thought this apparently unofficial one did the trick pretty well. Aside from the fact that it ends with a red card. We can just ignore that little incident, okay?

All three played for MLS since its inception back in 1996. Chris spent most of that time with the Fire, Cobi spent his entire MLS career with the Galaxy, and Eddie had a long stint with DC United before moving on to New York and Salt Lake.

I’ll admit that I am a sucker for tribute videos, but that’s especially true for guys who’ve given their all to promote a league, like Chris and Cobi and Eddie.

(And when you can watch the amazing hair evolution of Cobi Jones, it’s all that much better.)
