A Championship-Calibre Parachustist

By: chris | August 19th, 2008

Well, it’s quite evident why this guy isn’t doing these shows in the Prem. This is a member of the Red Devils, the British Army’s parachuting team, who attempted to land in the stadium during the Burnley - Ipswich Town Championship game this weekend. Unfortunately, he wasn’t aiming for the roof. He was aiming for the center circle. Which was housing a large, unmistakable X. Whoops.

Burnsley has actually launched an inquiry into the “accident” because it took rescue teams 90 minutes to get him down. Which begs the question…wasn’t he still wearing his parachute?
