Cristiano Ronaldo is a bad tipper

It has been a few days since we learned the critical world news that Cristiano Ronaldo and a couple teammates had a grand old time entertaining five prostitutes. As the world awaits (or shudders at the thought of) the inevitable blurry video of the fun (more than this), we read a quote today from Sir Alex Ferguson that is the definition of ironic.

From the marginally reliable Mirror:

He even told United’s official monthly magazine Inside United of his admiration for Portuguese star Ronaldo.

Sir Alex gushed: “What we’re seeing now is the maturity he is bringing to the club. Anderson and Nani are staying with him – it’s a fantastic thing to open your doors to help them settle in, until they learn the language and learn to look after themselves.”

According to all the experts, there is no better way to help someone adjust to life in a new country than to hire a few hookers for them. Now if only C-Ron could teach the new lads a thing or two about proper tipping etiquette.

  More irony would be today’s SAF quote about the problem of his old #7 staying home with wife [and new baby] instead of coming in evenings for extra practice with the youth academy, as had been his habit before marriage. I guess the occasional orgy would be considered more acceptable…

  Classic…. Maybe I’m not privy on the whole paying for sex thing but are you really supposed to tip? It’s not like being served dinner or having your bags brought to your room now is it? I’d say the money that was paid for the Mancs to put it in would include the gratuity, no? Perhaps the girls should include it in their total price like at restaurants when the waitress serves a larger group? Just an idea.
