Cristiano Ronaldo: Now Into Levitation

By: The Offside | February 13th, 2013

This is a time for that old cliche, “Sometimes the best things are the simplest done well.” Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal in the first half against old friends Manchester United is, in narrative, nothing special. A cross came in from the left, and Ronaldo put a header bottom right. But its reality was nothing short of damn near majestic in the way he rose into the sky and levitated, almost motionless for a second as he waited to snap his head at the ball to place it into the net. There’s no questioning his extraordinary ability to play this little game in nearly all its facets.
