Cristiano Ronaldo Proves There’s No Such Thing as Karma

By: Daryl | February 23rd, 2009

In the game against Blackburn, C-Ron did two pretty despicable things: First he swung a kick at David Dunn, because Dunn had the temerity to tackle him and win the ball.

Then he took a flop in the area looking for a penalty. He got a yellow for that.

In a fair world, such a player wouldn’t finish as the match winning hero. But this isn’t a fair world.

Because in the 60th minute Ronaldo did this:

And won the game 2-1 for Man Utd.

He’s like the villain who gets away with it at the end of the movie.

I usually bear no malice for C-Ron, mostly because he’s brilliant to watch and I don’t judge a man by his suntan. But if you’re looking for an example of why some people can’t stand the guy, look no further.

Thank you. I spent the last 48 hours wondering if I was crazy. Thank you so much.

He is a bastard. Everyone would love him if he didn’t do things like that and be so arrogant. But he is an asshole. Too bad. Look at Messi, so modest and just as good (if not better). The only thing they can come up with against Messi is that Barca is dependent on him.

Yeah, but its not like he’s a tough bad guy. He’s more of a little bitch who takes cheap shots, and tries to sneak them past the ref. If he just got up and knocked a guy to the ground, I’d feel like he’s more of a man, and less of a school boy.

one day someone’s going to get fed up with his shenanigans and put him in the hospital on a brutal tackle. while I can’t condone something like that, I can’t say I didn’t see it coming.

CR7 got my sandwich soggy because he was making me cry. Blackburn played as well as they could have and really should have gotten a point.

LOL what a bunch of BS did you even watch the match?

Dunn had a kick at him so he returned the favour.

Also you talk about how Ronaldo got a yellow card for diving but its convenient how you don’t mention how a Blackburn player got away with the same thing in the Manchester United box.

Thats not to mention the corner that should have been a free kick. They gave a corner by accident and then took away the goal.

I see why people critisize you for being short sighted and writing a bunch of bullshit.

Ronny did dive, but so did Pederson. and yet Pederson’s didn’t warrant a yellow? BS. the better team won.

What a disgrace. For all of his fans answer me one thing- If John Terry makes that PK is Ronaldo ever voted player of the year? Remember he would be the GOAT for missing his penalty. Most overrated player in football IMO

MGP did NOT dive, MAYBE he went down light, but Rafael had his hands all over Peds. I’m not saying that Blackburn deserved a win, but one if Nelson buries that sitter instead of posting it, we come away with a point.
Clearly Ronaldo is amazing and I knew that free kick was destined to find the twine, but saying that “the better team” won the match doesn’t do Rovers justice.

Pederson Dive? Yeah maybe in opposite land. He was thrown down, no comparison to C.Dive7 just hopping on the floor.

I thought it was a penalty at first, but in the replay it looked to me like Pederson fell in the complete opposite direction you would have expected if he was dragged down from behind. That combined with his statements after the match, sounding very much like he didn’t want to say whether or not he was actually dragged down, I’ve got to say I think he was doing some theater. Ronaldo’s antics were disgraceful with out a doubt, though.

There are certainly different rules for Man United and whoever they’re playing against when it’s at Old Trafford. There’s no doubt about that at all, had it been Berbatov dragged down then it would have been a certain penalty. Fulham should have had a penalty for a Vidic handball midweek as well. Also – to be pedantic, this doesn’t prove there’s no such thing as karma because karma isn’t a moral thing, its more a cause and effect based thing

MoMONEY, don’t forget, after he missed the penalty, he fell down and started crying. Way to have faith in your teammates.
