We see athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo turn tragedy into heroics. The tragedy in this case is the black eye and forehead gash he sustained against Roma on Tuesday. The heroics? He is going to work harder than ever to return to his old form. “It’s not a problem,” he said of his battered face. “In four or five days I will be beautiful once again.” That steely courage in the face of facial adversity, my friends, should inspire you to get through the challenging times in your own life.
