Cristiano Ronaldo’s Fallback Option if This Whole Football Thing Doesn’t Work Out? Singing.

By: Daryl | October 9th, 2009

Cristiano Ronaldo made a blistering start to his Real Madrid career, with nine goals in seven games. So it’s more than likely that the young man has settled on “professional footballer” as his primary career.

But that was before CR9 was cursed by a wizard. A curse which turned out to be very real (maybe). So looks like his days as a professional footballer are over. No one comes back from a wizard curse.

Luckily, the commercial above for Banco Espirito de Santo suggests that C-Ron has other options besides doing stepovers for a living. The boy can sing!

OK, maybe he’s no [insert your favourite singer's name here]. But Liam Gallagher can’t sing either, and he still made a fortune doing it. It’s just nice that C-Ron has options.

The video above was spotted on ONTD (where they also have a DVD extra-stylee “making of” featurette and photographic stills combo to share). By the way, if you like ONTD (and it’s hard not to) then allow me to re-introduce you to HABs Offside, where ONTD’s Corrine has recently started moonlighting.

But I see you’re still not convinced of the value in CR9’s vocal chords. Maybe this video below (spotted on Cristiano Ronaldo HQ) of this in-car performance might help:
