you know what I find really funny? that people are so shocked about certain things Zidane did, but at the same time have never informed themselves about him and saw him as some sort of wingless angel. I wasn't even shocked by the headbutt because Zidane was always known for losing it at times when you said the wrong things to him. At the same time I never expected him to be a super nice guy who doesn't know swearwords himself...It's actually good to know that the off-the-pitch always silent Zidane can fight back with words. But of course there will now be people who swear they would never insult another player and that they don't even know what son of a bitch means and that if they had been in Zidane's situation during the World Cup final, they would have kissed Materazzi but oh well...
IMO both players are not innocent and have never been but Zidane has proven to be a class act way more often than Materazzi. I actually don't recall a class moment from Materazzi when I think about it...

i completey i agree with Talia, although i am an Italian fan, Materazzi is one player i hate (partially cause im a Juve fan) and partially cause he's one of the dirtiest players alive. To generalize third world countries the way he did created a new low even for some one of his standards. but dont be too fast to let loose of zidane, if u recall the world cup game between france and saudi arabia where zidane delibrately stepped on an opponents leg (while he was on the ground injured), people tend to forget about these things cause zidane is one of the best footballers to come around.....
  • What's with the hatred for Zidane? what about the hypocrisy of Materazzi whining about Milan fans abusing him over his mother's death? And why not take him to task for his comments about the Milan fans' chants belonging in "the third world"? where is the outrage about his slur?

  • ESPN need to stop showing the EPL teams in the CL...right after Celtic's next two ties against Man U...:D
  • Nate
I agree, let's see some other games than only the English ones...until the english teams are gone and they are forced to show the other "inferior" teams. Complete shit.
