David Beckham and Tom Cruise to Buy a Football Team?

David Beckham is apparently considering purchasing a football team. With Tom Cruise.

“A Stateside source told the paper: “David has often spoken of his desire to concentrate on his youth football academies, rather than a career in management when he retires from the game.

‘Perhaps a high profile soccer venture with a Hollywood superstar would also give him back some of the credibility he surely feels he lost after leaving prestigious Real Madrid for a megabucks deal in the US.’”

Because…yeah. A partnership with Tom Cruise will give back credibility.

Of course it will.

(Because nobody considers this the creepiest friendship since Dr. Evil and Mini Me.)

P.S. Anybody photoshopping a giant bottle of wine in this photo and sending it to me will become my newest, bestest friend.

I just keep thinking how happy Tom Cruise must be about having Becks as his good friend. Tom must think that the friendship might get him back into the good graces of someone who thinks he's a total creep.

I'm not buying it, you are a complete and utter fucking weirdo, Tom. You don't realize it but no matter who you are friends with, you will only make them seem weird for being friends with you. It will never rub off, unless of course you come out and say that Scientology is a total scam and that space aliens as a religion is dumb. Also, the whole brain washing of Katie Holmes was not cool either, it's just made you more creepy. Sorry Tom, it's not going to work out this way. You'll have to try again.
