David Beckham could have a couple months to work on his painting skills
By: Bob | March 5th, 2007
Maybe it is all just part of a new advertising campaign. The ad will feature soft music in the background and David Beckham’s voice explaining how his life might have ended if there wasn’t an advertising board behind the goal to stop his fall in Real Madrid’s match against Getafe on Sunday. Buy this advertising board and it will save your life too.
If you haven’t heard by now, Beckham crocked his knee in a collision with the advertising sign behind the goal and could be out for up to two months depending on what a scan of the knee finds today. Even with two months of inactivity, the injury will likely have no impact on Beckham’s plans to play for the LA Galaxy starting in late July other than making a slow player just that much slower. Knee injuries are never easy to recover from, especially when you a 31-year-old old timer.
The injury comes at a time when Adidas has launched a new set of commercials for its Impossible is Nothing campaign, including the one below with Beckham talking about his failures in the 1998 World Cup while he paints on camera. There is also one showing off the artistic side of Lionel Messi, the NBA’s Gilbert Arenas and the ever popular track and field athlete Yelena Isinbayeva.
