Did You Know that Shep Messing Once Posed for a Nude Magazine Spread?

(Before I share, I need to tell you how this got started. You need to know this part, so you don’t get the wrong idea.)

I was researching the background on yesterday’s Giorgio Chinaglia mob story. And my google searches took me back to his New York Cosmos days, so I started reading up on the Cosmos. And I’m reading about Chinaglia, and Pele, and their other teammates, and what celebrities they all were…

And the next thing I knew, I was trying to figure out — in that kind of train wreck, I wish I could look away but I just can’t kind of way — what google search string would turn up the nude photo spread former Cosmos player Shep Messing did for the now defunct Viva magazine.

Yeah, Shep Messing. This guy. The current Red Bulls commentator.

Some days this job is not all it’s cracked up to be.

Even more disturbing? I found it. It’s every bit as scary as I’d imagined. Below the jump, if you dare.
