Truly, though, what I find interesting is how many people see bias in our bloggers where none exists. I don’t think any of us on The Offside’s main page have Premier League favorite team, or a team on our s***list, but we’ve all been accused of it. My first true love is French football, so I tend to love all of the teams that have French players. Evra’s at ManYoo — oh, wait, excuse me! Manchester United — and he’s one of my favorite players, so I can cheerfully root for them against teams with no French players, like Liverpool. But when MU plays Arsenal, Arsenal wins out. (Clichy! Sagna! Gallas! Arsene, even.) Jury’s still out on Manchester United vs. Chelsea. I was a genuine neutral in last year’s Champions League final.

Don’t be so quick to take offense, gents. I neither love nor hate your team.
