Do NOT Watch this Video at Work. I’m Serious.

By: Daryl | January 27th, 2008

This is, without question, the most inappropriate YouTube video I’ve ever seen. So I had no choice but to share it.

Let this be a lesson to you, kids. Never go commando when you play soccer. Because if you do, somebody will film the result and put it on YouTube.

And then everyone will know what your thingy looks like. In slow motion, and set to music.

NSFW. (Unless you work at The Offside.)

What’s great about that video is that if you do a Google search for Sebastian Kehl (the guy popping out), the video is the first thing that comes up. It’s before Wikipedia. And before his website. He’s a well-respected German international midfielder, but really, it’s all about seeing his junk.

That really just about sums up life right there, doesn’t it?

Just like we are forced to base our opinions on former greats of the game on short bad quality black and white video highlights, our kids will base it on short YouTube clips which are more about things popping out, famous dives or other forms of bad gamesmanship. Because all the real clips will have been taken down for copyright violation. An encouraging thought… :-)

Jan, I believe that your comment should be forwarded to every football exec on the planet to remind them of the consequences of their actions. :-)

Jan, it’s just lucky for us that this guy’s personal accessories are in the public domain…

We warned you, James. Did we not warn you? You have nobody and nothing to blame but your own lack of self-control.

(Says the woman who’s watched it three times. In the name of work-related research, you understand.) ;-)

Do we need to sit down and have a little talk about why this doesn’t happen when women play?

Also, much credit to the Offside (Jan I’m pointing at you) for turning gratuitous genitalia clips into a discussion of the public domain.

I hope it’s not very common to go commando when they play soccer? I would think that would be kind of painful and kind of…umm…distracting. If opposition players knew that the guy man marking them had no undies, no one would be attempting any tackles.

Though I’m sure viewership among women would increase dramatically. :P
