Domenech and Wenger to Fight under the Stands after 6th period

By: Bob | March 15th, 2007

arsene-wenger.jpgIf I had paid more attention during French class in school I could probably come up with a fancy sounding word to describe the pissing match that is taking place between Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger and France national team coach Raymond Domenech. Wenger has no love for international football and he blames it for Thierry Henry’s injury breakdown this season. Domenech has no love for Wenger and today he lashed out at his fellow Frenchman.

At a news conference where he named his country’s squad for upcoming matches against Lithuania and Austria, Domenech said:

“I’m seriously starting to get tired of Mr Wenger. He (Wenger) does not know everything and is not the only one with the right to exist in football. Even (UEFA president) Michel Platini has noted that his remarks were stupid. He (Wenger) is saying that a match in August can explain an injury in March. But it has to be known that every time Henry has played for France, he was playing for Arsenal three days later.”

Wenger hasn’t replied yet but you know he will. If there is one thing that he loves more than anything else it is to get into bitch slapping contests with managers through the media. Domenech is also not one to back down or to let go. This has the potential to go on for years. Grab some popcorn, take out your French dictionary, sit back and enjoy.

For a start Whinger has lost the plot. Football is a RESULTS business. Just ask William Gallas - wot will he win this year - “the award for a player out for three months expecting to win trophies signing for Emirates XI on deadline day” LOL LOL LOL !!!!

can someone translate the comment above?

Blaming the injury might be a bit much but why play Henry for 90 minutes for a friendly?
    Plus Domenech is a wanker!

If football’s only about results why is Abramovich trying to get shot of Mourinho. Because he’s as bored as the rest of us with their style of play. Mourinho and Lampard to Real Madrid, the transfer budget hit because of the divorce payout and what will Chelsea have left, ageing and over the hill players like Shevchenko, Ballack, Makelele and misfits like Wright-Philips, LOL.

wenger has been saying the same thing since the start of the season. it’s not like those are new comments, which seem to be what platini is reacting against.
