Eastern European Fans Strike Again.

Inside the stadium, outside the stadium – it matters not to fans of Eastern European football. Where there’s a crime to be done, a protest to be made, they’ll be there. While Red Star Belgrade fans were busy making trouble for the Czech police before their fixture, Dinamo Bucharest fans got busy making trouble for their own team because they were rubbish during the fixture. With Slovan Liberec up 2-0 away entering the 88th minute, fans began climbing from the pitch to the pitch-surrounding track. Game called, Dinamo likely to be booted from Europe (like it matters).

It’s time we forgot about this “European SuperLeague” garbage and focused on a concept we, the fans, desperately need in our everyday lives.

There must be an island. On this island, three groups shall exist: South American football clubs, Chinese football clubs and Eastern European football clubs. And these two groups shall play each other. The fans shall root and riot against one another. Blood shall be shed, havoc shall be wrought and we will bath in its primal barbarianism. We must have this.

But really, be honest: if FIFA came out with a video game which was a Sims-like total life experience with those three factions – South American, Chinese and Eastern European football – going to head to head in all that “football” encompasses, you’d buy it, wouldn’t you?
