Famous Sevens

A quick peak at the calendar shows that Saturday is 07-07-07. Feeling lucky? Why not take a chance on something like marriage? If that isn’t your thing, you can play along with a game that I have started playing called “let’s make a list of famous football players who wear the number 7″. Ok, I am still trying to come up with a better name for the game, but that shouldn’t stop us from building a list together.

Before we get started, if you are the type that likes learning and stuff, you can read about the history of shirt numbers. If you prefer not to read, the number seven traditionally has been worn by those on the right wing. There have been some pretty decent right wingers over the years.

The rules of this little exercise are simple. Pick a player past or present who at one time or another has worn the number seven for his country or his club team. I’ve started the list for you now it is your turn to help build on it. Try not to duplicate answers.
