Fan Attacks Player in Turkey, Chaos Ensues
By: Bob | August 13th, 2007The 2007/2008 Turkish Premier Super League season got off to a dubious start on Sunday with a fan attacking a player and a match ending up suspended. The fun took place in the final minute of added time in a game between Trabzonspor and Sivasspor. After a brief skirmish broke out between players from both teams over a hard foul, a fan entered the pitch and introduced his fist to Sivasspor striker Mehmet Yildiz’s face. As you can see in the above video at the 2:00 mark the players didn’t take too kindly to this.
