Fan for a Match: An A+ Performance

By: Bob | October 16th, 2006

aab-viborg_3-1_147702c.jpgThe unstoppable force that is our Fan for a Match support powered forward this weekend with a third straight week in the win column. The alphabetically and breastific side from Aab Aalborg put an end to their four-game winless streak by beating the scum from Esbjerg 2-0 in Danish Superliga action. This was how I envisioned the Fan for a Match feature would work when it was a mere notion in my mind a few months back and it is entirely gratifying to see the powers of our collective support helping teams to end losing streaks and to achieve mediocrity in places like Denmark.

There is no rest for the weary and I’m always looking for another bandwagon on which to jump. There have already been a couple of worthy nominations for this week’s Fan for a Match team, but the application process is still wide open and with the right bribes my loyalty can be bought. Go ahead and nominate your team by leaving a comment or by sending an email to bob [at] theoffside.com. Fan for a match teams are announced each Thursday and at this point I am pretty much going to guarantee a win.
