Fan for a Match: Things are Starting to Get Ugly

When we started adopting teams to support for our regular feature Fan for a Match we thought it was going to be a fun. We’d select a team, support them for a week, earn a win and never think of them again. Well, we’re here to tell you that losing is never much fun. We should know by now, after this weekend we have now lost three of our first five selections.
The only thing worse than our record is being an Adelaide United fan this week. The team suffered a bad loss at the hands of the largely inept New Zealand Knights this past Saturday in A-League action. The loss is the second straight to start the campaign and all we can say is that we are thankful that we won’t have to suffer through an entire season of Adelaide United football if that team continues on its current form.
But we are prepared to suffer some more if you have a team that you’d like us to support for a match. Shoot your suggestions to bob [at] theoffside.com.
