FIFA 08 Release Date

By: Bob | July 30th, 2007

a2600_soccer.jpgOk you thumb jockeys. Today is a big day in soccer video game news. September 28 is the date to circle on your calendar. That is the official launch for FIFA 08, which promises to have all kinds of features that are too complicated for me to even comprehend but which you will master in no time so that you can earn a living playing video games and become an even bigger network television star than Posh Spice. If you are more of an old skool kinda kid, you can kick now kick it as one of the Brothers Mario now that Mario Strikers Charged is in the stores. Just remember to go outside from time to time. Fresh air will do your complexion some good.

Pro is so much better than Fifa. First off, anyone that still pays full money for a PS2 game is silly. Go out and get you a SwapMagic kit, then you can play your ‘backup’ games (ahem copies ahem).

With that being said, you can download fixes to the games that have all the teams. My Spanish version has ALL the teams, Premiership, spain, germany, italy, world, france, portugal including all the Spanish Segunda Division teams, plus commentary added in from Andres Montes.

And who said the goalies in Pro are bad? You must be joking

fifa 08 players can only see winning 11 sucks cause of the licensing, they just can’t admit the gameplay kicks fifa 08’s ass, Still fifa 08 might be good this year. emphasis on might!

Can’t wait for fifa 08, it’s the best. Glad there’s even more teams to play against i.e. Mls. Pro evo used to have good game play but not anymore. P.S. Never even heard of Winning 11.

To Carl, I know americans and Canadians who only use fifa 08, they know nothink about football but even they know fifa is better, both games are widly available over there aswell, there is a reason why fifa out sells Pro evo world wide.

you know….to be realistic and fair…Pro evolution Soccer has been better until 2007..fifa beat it because you know..let’s take the shooting for example….and shooting is one of the most important aspects of the game…In Fifa 07…you could shoot by three ways…you could use a laces shot,a chipshot,or a finesse shot..and ofcourse the traditional lobshot….but in Pro Evolution…you shoot….but the player is one who decides how the shot will be taken..you just don’t take full control of how you shoot….also the Pro Evolution Soccer lacks the Player run Capability….which is very important in creating spaces and thereby scoring chances if you wanna beet the oppostion’s defence….and i know that you could set some special runs for some players in PES in Team management…but you can’t do it inside the game while playing…and ofcourse Fifa Rules in terms of the quality of the graphics…you know if you’re just a normal player who doesn’t use all the features that games offer….you couldn’t notice the difference..but if you’re a true football lover..you’d definitely choose Fifa….and i’m waiting for Fifa 08…i think it’s gonna ROCK!!!

If you think you cannot control players’ shooting in PES/WE, then you’re obviously a PES/WE noob,Abdou.

In terms of ball physics FIFA loses out.

But in terms of its updated player rosters, good audio commentary, better graphics (only for players but never the crowd, which look like flat pieces of paper), soundtrack, FIFA is better.

But if you do play football in real life, instead of just watching it on TV and shit, you’ll realise that pro evo is the closest to the real thing that a game can get.

In conclusion, FIFA is only better cosmetically, and good for people who love good graphics over good football.

Well…if you really can control the players shooting…..then how do you??…..you should specify some buttons or something…speak about facts…in Fifa you don’t need to be an experienced player to control the shot…though i don’t know how you control the shot in PES…it’s just that you shoot…you don’t have any options…and i don’t mean controlling the shot in terms of its power..i mean in terms of how the shot would be taken…which part of the foot is gonna hit the ball…that’s what i’m talking about…in fifa you could the shot from the same spot and the same power….but you could hit one way and it goes in…and another way and it goes out…that’s what i mean by control….waiting for your reply,thanks..

got fifa08 yesterday (thanx to play.com), game play is much better and scoring is much harder then 07, you really have to keep your composure, probly the reason why I scored most of my goals with headers (not that that is entirly easy)not many stadiums added but lots of teams and leagues, including the irish league for some reason. Defending is harder. less products to buy in the shops. more tournament modes. overall far greater then its predocesors. sorry but bye bye pes.
