FIFA 2008: Be a Pro

I’ll admit that I stopped being able to play video games once there was more than one button on the joystick (are they still called joysticks?). Even with my lack of video gaming expertise, I can understand why some might excited about the new FIFA 2008 game from EA sports. We’ve learned about the cover stars already and today we find out a little more about the game itself.

The game will feature over 620 teams, 30 leagues and 15,000 players. The only team apparently not included in the game is my Sunday league team, which is just as well because who wants to play a video game featuring a team that never scores?

FIFA 2008 has also tapped the scientific brain trust – they actually talk about physics in the press release and that is precisely the time when my brain started to drift off – to make sure that you will never have to leave your couch again. It also allows you to spend the whole game as a single player in its Be a Pro mode, which sounds like a lot of fun if you can figure out what all those buttons are supposed to do.

they there is supposed to be 30 leagues and 15000 players. I think there will be less leagues but i think they added brazilian leauges and portugal and maybe the dutch and french leagues. Tes there will be mls. I think they will have all the new jerseys in the game if any of u get Eurosport you will see all the new jerseys.

Wow, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifa_2008#Leagues , … They have included scrub leagues such as the irish/turkish/swiss/norw. and yet they have to include the decent greek superleague, this is why PES is starting to get more fans than FIFA, it’s a shame FIFA used to be great, 2001 for example…

    Hello all,
Since Malaysia is going to win the 2010 World Cup then the Management of FIFA 08 EASPORT should also include Malaysian League.
I as the President of FIFA will sue EASPORT in the World Court if Malaysia is not included in future version.

Just like to point out that mitches post about the Turkish league being a “scrub” league is absoloute horseshit. Turkey has been in the top 20 of FIFA’s rankings for a decade now. (Same as the “decent Greek league” as he points out.)
