FIFA Interactive World Cup 2006

By: Bob | October 26th, 2006

fifa07.jpgNow that the little tournament in Germany is over we can get down to the serious stuff like the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2006. Gamers in the UK are kicking (or is it clicking?) things off tomorrow as we begin the month and a half journey that will lead to the Amsterdam, where 128 of the world’s greatest finger maestros will compete for a grand prize of $20,000. Kids, the next time your parents tell you to get off your lazy ass and stop playing video games you need to inform them that there is big money to be made in video games these days.

Gamers from 31 countries will be mixing it up mano-y-mano on the Xbox and will play Electronic Arts’ FIFA 07, a game that looks more real than real life. Sadly, FIFA does not offer rankings that we can all discuss and bitch about as being ludicrous, but they do have a Web site dedicated to the tournament. Among its best features is the behind the scenes making of the game where you get to see that Ronaldinho is not cut out to play golf and David Villa likes to iron his jersey.
