Or maybe it should be Players You Were Going To Watch Anyway?

In typical FIFA fashion, they didn’t quite go off grid with their selections, rather plucking from a Wonderkid Top 10 found somewhere in the bowels of the internet, even if they did their typical FIFA duty and picked those still plying their trade in South America and Asia (sorry, Africa & NA) before the great navigation to Europe.

Have to spread the love, especially in Dortmund.

What we also get from the list is this: Borussia Dortmund might be on the precipice of a sustained run at greateness, as they’re the only club with two on the list* and yet FIFA still omitted two of their best players, also 22 and under, Nuri Sahin and Nevin Subotic. This is your future, people – it’s black and blinding yellow.

* – FIFA’s convinced Inter have signed Luc Castaignos, while Luc, probably the most important party, isn’t.

Nonetheless, do note that this may change by the end of January, when Real, Chelsea, Man City, Barca, Inter, Milan and Genoa, which conducts its transfer business entirely on lists like these, attempt to snap these gentlemen up.

Luc Castaignos, ST, 18, Feyenoord
David de Gea, GK, 20, Atletico Madrid
Alan Dzagoev, AM, 20, CSKA Moscow
Youssef El-Arabi, ST, 23, Caen
Shinji Kagawa, AM, 21, Borussia Dortmund
Jordan Henderson, MF, 20, Sunderland
Mats Hummels, CB, 20, Borussia Dortmund
Koo Ja-Cheol, AM, 21, Jeju United
Erik Lamela, AM, 18, River Plate
Lucas, AM, 18, Sao Paolo
Romelu Lukaku, ST, 17, Anderlecht
Andrea Ranocchia, CB, 22, Inter
Xherdan Shaqiri, AM, 19, Basel
