Fixing Things The Italian Way: Storm The Compound!

By: chris | July 6th, 2009

Speaking of fans acting ridiculously, an occurrence all too common in Italy as well as South America, Milan ultras have taken to the Rossoneri training facilities on the first day of camp to voice their displeasure with how things are going this summer. And by “voice their displeasure”, we mean “launch stuff”. Mostly flares and other smoke-producing things of the sort, but you could probably hear the occasional insult hurled toward the Prime Minister of Italia were you close enough.

This, obviously, comes from a group of fans (300 deep reportedly) who were displeased by the sale of Ricky Kaka and the resulting lack of buys from those wheelbarrows of Spanish money (well, football buys – plenty of prostitutes were had we hear). This group must be one which does not own a calendar, as a quick look would have one realize the mercato doesn’t close for roughly 7 weeks. That’s plenty of time to buy a couple of elderly Brazilians.

They’ve also released this little warning:

“Anyone who tries to stop us will end up in hospital.”

Isn’t this a lovely way to kick off the preseason festivities? Nothing could possibly lay a better foundation for a productive training camp – which would in turn lay the foundation for a productive season – than a hostile work environment for the players.

  • i would be worried if i were a milan fan but im not. juve have their own problems, ;)
  • Good. I'm glad some people are trying to do something. The way the club has been run lately has been pure horsesh!t. They haven't listened to the fans or the media, and this is what the club gets.
  • I'd throw some insults at Berlusiconi too, but not because of AC Milan's play.
