Football Fans Gone Wild

[Sports Rubbish]

Two videos have come to light in the last two days that display, unfortunately, just how stupid, for lack of a better term, football fans can be. The first comes from Mexico, where a fan was caught on video camera laying out another fan with a right hand. Problem is the fan throwing the punch was a man, and the other fan was an older woman. Nothin’ like keeping unnecessary violence classy. Fortunately he was attacked his own brethren and will hopefully be spending a decent amount of time playing “hide the burrito” in jail.

And on Wednesday it was Finland and Russia, who apparently aren’t very neighbourly. No borrowing sugar, no kicking the ball back over to the other side. Just some good old fashioned hooliganism before Russia’s football team beat down the Finns 3-0 in Helsinki in WCQ.

And some people wonder why football fans get a poor reputation.
