Footballers’ New Year’s Resolutions for 2009
By: Daryl | January 1st, 2009
It’s the first day of 2009, so Happy New Year everyone.
It’s also the time of year to start making New Year’s resolutions/promises that won’t be kept. Here are 11 that footballers & football teams should be making for oh-nine:
William Gallas – Stop talking to the press, stop sitting in the centre circle, stop smoking. Also, stop wearing #10. You’re a defender.
Jose Mourinho – Play nice with the Italian press. You can’t win.
Andrei Arshavin – Move house.
Man City – Stop flashing the cash or you’ll get robbed.
Wayne Rooney – No more stamping on people. It’s not nice.
Ricardo Quaresma – Start putting your boots on the right way round.
AC Milan – Sign someone under 30. Anyone.
Kevin Keegan – Quit quitting.
Didier Drogba – Be more careful with money.
Real Madrid – Stop being linked with second rate right wingers.
Yoann Gourcuff – Remember football is a clothes-on sport.
Any other resolutions footballers should be making?

Football is a clothes-on sport?! I most certainly did not know that.

For all your Gourcuff-lovers: just remember that Antonio did it first. And Coupet seems to like it…
And just out of curiosity (and completely unrelated): Daryl… did you grab that image online, or did you write it yourself? ;]
