For the Beckham Non-Fans Among Us

For some reason, every time I write a post about David and/or Victoria Beckham, I get the feeling that some of you are not happy.

I’m not sure what it is. Maybe the comments like, “BECKHAM SUCKS!!!” Or, “What does this have to do with soccer?” or “Thanks… for filling a void otherwise ignored by the media and increasing the Beckham quota around here.”

The Beckhams are weird and funny, and I say pooh-pooh to anyone who doesn't enjoy laughing at the latest *majuh* development in their lives. I'd buy the t-shirt, only it'd be a tragic LIE!

Beckham's celebrity. or
Beckham's sex life. or
Victoria's TV show or Beckham's private parts.

Because everything Bob did was so much different and better than what the current losers are doing now. And it's really horrible of us to try to keep what he started going rather than to let it die now that he's not here.

Hey, the woman offered you a t-shirt, a mere thank you would suffice. Besides, how can you of such high standards bear to open the offside homepage at all where -- long before Laurie here joined the front office -- NO underpants even remotely associated with anyone that has ever had anything to do with soccer/football have gone unexamined--to say nothing of the close attention to detail afforded when a penis, breast or butt comes into play.

I like David Beckham. I also like Martin Scorsese and Mike Patton. But I don't much care what they do with their wives, and I certainly don't want to see them in their underpants.

Nah. It's not so much that Beckham sucks. It's more amusement at your Entertainment Tonight and National Enquirer level obsession. It starts to get a little old reading blog posts day after day about Beckham brushing his teeth, wiping his ass, and ordering his staff to go to the corner to pick up the curry, ya know.

When we read any one of your thousand or so Beckham posts, we might as well be watching the True Hollywood Story episode about the Spears sisters, and the more you avoid psychiatric care for your obsession, the more the E! channel wins.
