Forest Green Hit Blooper & Top Plays List In One Goal.
By: chris | January 5th, 2009The only way to really describe the first goal of Derby v Forest Green in the FA Cup Saturday is bizarrely fantastic. It took a blooper to set up a highlight reel stunner - particularly considering Forest Green is in the Conference National, aka the fifth rung of the English ladder. The ball is hoofed forward by Forest Green only to hit the back of the defender’s head as he’s running towards goal, ball bounces back and Jonathan Smith one times a missile into the back of the net. Nice bit of consolation as they predictably went down 4-3.
Expect to see this one make a few YouTube compilations in the future.
