Gazza to Star in Horror Movie. No, it’s not a Biopic

Just when you thought that Paul Gascoigne’s life had taken a wrong turn and that he would be forced to spend the rest of his life shopping for used underwear, along comes news that the former England great will be staring in a movie called Final Run.
Gazza is also co-producing the movie, which is about surviving an alien invasion, a subject that he apparently knows very well.
Gascoigne will play a character “forced to choose between his own survival and that of the human race,” production company SjB Imperial Film Ltd. said in a statement.
“Gascoigne, a lifelong genre fan, lends his considerable expertise as both producer and feature actor,” London-based SjB Imperial said. “As a part of the key creative team, Paul’s input into the script and vision are invaluable.”
Hopefully Gazza will be able to find a nice tuxedo at those thrift shops. Final Run has all the makings of an Oscar winning film. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t feature his singing.
