Georginio Wijnaldum Is A Name To Remember; Timothy Derijck Is Not.

Chances are those slightly beyond the casual fan know of Dutch wonderkid Georginio Wijnaldum; those who do not can read Jan’s lovely little expose. In short: he’s very, very good and even more talented. An attacking mid with all those Dutch key words (technique, vision, pace, dribbling, etc.) which means he’s destined for big things and presumably Arsene has an entire room at home solely for his game tapes.

ADO Den Haag’s Timothy Derijck, on the other hand, is not quite as brilliant. After being roasted out of his shorts by Wijnaldum, Derijck clattered into two of his teammates, including going dangerously close to third base with one, and causing a scene so comical you have to think the whole thing was contrived but for the ridiculous coordination that would take. It’s moments like this you thank a higher power for Eredivisie defending.

More of Wijnaldum and less of Derijck after the jump.

    Thank you for your help!

  • Always be cautious when talking up players from Holland... You're just as likely to get a Robben as you are to get a Kezman.

Quality lad and he's my first purchase in every reincarnation of Football Manager (since FM2006 if I recall correctly). Now I can even spell his name without checking Google :D
