Get your Kicks with Trick Free Kicks
By: Bob | August 23rd, 2007There are a few ways to approach a set piece. You can line up to take it and have one player drill it into the net. Or you can line up and have a bunch of players fool the beejebus out of the defenders. If you prefer cunning over cannon you’ll likely enjoy this video collection of tricky free kicks. Heck, there are even a few cannon goals thrown into the mix.

I didn’t know you could pass the ball during a PK

I like it. For all the times the free kick taker just drills it into the wall or boots it 20 yards over the top of the goal, it’s nice to see some trick plays. The PK one is the best, as it’s the most unnecessary.

Wasn’t that PK goal offside?

You cant tell, because the player was already running in, so he may have passed defenders.
I loved it when Henry and Pires tried to copy Ajax and failed massively!

Ya, but then the guy passed back, so it must have been offside.
