Bashar, Maldini’s actually a left-back. ;) So comparing him to Panucci (ha!) or Sergio Ramos is a little off. But agreed on his being the best ever in his position.

One of the best to ever play the game? I’m sorry.. Say what you want about Panucci, Ramos, etc… Maldini is hands down the best right back to ever play the game.. Not just one of the best. I really can’t explain how awesome he is.. And I’m sure nobody can as well.. Legendary.

Haha.. I love that shoe comment. Unfortunately Gullit forgot to insert the shoe.

Only 40 year olds I can recall in MLS are Lothar Mattheus and Preki. Lothar Mattheus- not good or dedicated for Metro. Preki- Stayed fit and might be still able to play now 2 years after retiring, always gave it his all.

If Maldini were interested and taking it seriously sure I’d love him in MLS, but I don’t think he’d be miles away the best in the league. Likely all-star but I think there are some who could beat him. If its with a view as a retirement laid back mail it in job- no deal.
