Halftime Performers Shown a Red Card for Abusing Barnsley Fans
By: Bob | October 16th, 2006
Kids these days. They can’t even make it through a halftime performance at a football match without getting arrested for swearing and making obscene gestures at visiting fans.
The kids in question are 18-year-old twins Francine and Nicola Gleadall who make up the cleverly named band Twin. The Sheffield teens were brought out to entertain fans at the Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley match at Hillsborough and were quickly met by jeers from the Barnsley supporters and that’s when the real fun began.
An eyewitness told the Mirror: “Nic told the Barnsley supporters to ‘fuck off’ and put up the V sign. They went wild, which caused the Wednesday fans to taunt them even more.”
The twins from Twin were then arrested, forced to spend two hours at the police station and fined £60.
The kicker in this story is that the twins were performing their “debut” single, a cover of Slade’s ‘Cum on Feel the Noize’. If that is your debut song I’m going to venture to say that your musical career will probably be shorter than Jay DeMerit’s.

It always amazes me when clubs in England try to bring on halftime entertainment, the fans don’t want or expect it and it’s just another target to hurl abuse at until the teams come out again. If JayZ or Timberlake were there it would be ‘fuck off twat’ if it was the Pussycat Dolls ‘get yer tits out’.

I just saw this earlier today on Fox Sports World Report and then I searched YouTube for some kind of footage for it and there was (it was recorded off a cell phone). Hopefully, in the future, these girls will learn control.
