Helping The Poor, Underprivileged Underdogs

By: The Offside | July 22nd, 2011

Let’s be honest: not much is expected out of Malaysia from a footballing perspective. Moderately decent refereeing is, however, a basic expectation all across the globe, if rarely achieved.

Especially when it’s the Lilliputian underdogs taking on the mighty monstrosity that is Chelsea, who beat the Malaysian All-Star XI on this sham of a goal by Didier Drogba.

Does Chelsea really need the help in Malaysia?

going by the way chelsea are playing in the pre-season, Abrahmovic might as well of saved the 15m and kept Ancelotti.

  • to be fair, it's not as if the squads that were playing each half were by any means our strongest sides. it's pre-season, and villas-boas is tinkering and the selections out on the pitch are evidence of that. not that that's any excuse for how we played (lazy and uninspired) but I just don't think it's fair to make a blanket judgment on the manager based off one pre-season game against the malaysian national team. do you?
