Henrik Larsson won’t have to worry about Dropping the Soap

henrik_larsson_head.jpgAuthorities in Sweden have given up their investigation of Henrik Larsson’s punching an opponent during a match this past weekend. Displaying the practicality of a Volvo, the fuzz came to a speedy and correct conclusion that Larsson’s love tap on the pitch wasn’t enough to warrant a time in the pokey.

“There is no reason to assume that a crime which falls under mandatory prosecution has been committed,” prosecutor Tom Svensson said today.

Larsson’s actions are still being investigated by the Swedish football association and he likely will face a punishment that doesn’t include making license plates or learning how to smuggle drugs in body cavities.

Could you NOT use homophobic prison jokes? I know you're trying to be funny, but it just isn't...

Good. It was stupid for them to even investigate it. Worse things happen all the time on the field.
