The man holding the oversized currency is Dickie Best, father of the legendary late footballer George Best, who is being honored in his homeland by having his likeness plastered on a limited edition bank note that will be available in November. At times like this it is always helpful to be reminded of Best’s own financial management strategy, “I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars.
