I kind of disagree, Matthew. It's not like the Home Championships are an idea that comes out of failing for Euro 2008. It's a great tradition that we've gotten away from and would like to get back to. You could make the argument that Wales and Ireland are "little diddums", but England and Scotland are the 11th and 13th ranked teams in the world. Any tournament with both of these teams at full strength is worth watching. I'm selfish because I DO want to see Scotland smash England at Wembley, but what else is England going to do next summer? Meaningless friendlies that no one in the country cares about?

I'm kind of torn on this one - on the one hand, I'd like to see it happen and it might actually give me something to do this summer. On the other, it does smack of "aaaaw, the little diddums wasn't allowed to play with the big boys? Don't worry, you can play each other and pretend you're playing with the big boys."

The bigger problem, as an England supporter, is that Scotland deserved to qualify but were stymied by an unlucky seed alongside France and Italy. England played like the Faroe Islands and had no right to qualify for Euro 2008. Do I want to see England get smashed by Scotland at Wembley? Not really.

That's awesome. Rhyming "metatarsal" and "asshole" is pretty amazing.

If we were involved in a Home Nations I think apart from Wales we'd get slaughtered. Scotland at present look strong and Northern Ireland have beaten us before so why not again. If there is a home nations in the summer I think i'll find something else to do.

With their actual form, Scotland will destroy England if ever there's a game.

It looks more likely that we'll go ahead with the Celtic Cup (all nations but England) and maybe an England-Scotland friendly (mouth watering). England needs UEFA's support if they have any hope of World Cup 2018, which is HUGELY more important to them than the Home Nations.

Maybe this will give some humble pie to all the premiership fans and enthsiasts. They are always saying how much better their league is. What they forget is that their league is just the richer one. The big squads are qualified, period.
Italy? check. Spain? check. France? check. Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany? check, check and check.
NOw they'll see how good they really are.

Well as far as I know this discussed and the English FA was against it since a rival tournament held at the same time as the EURO would anger UEFA
