Homeless World Cup

It is not every day that Kazakhstan beats England 7-3 and Liberia pastes Sweden 10-1 in football. Those are just a couple of the results from the Homeless World Cup, which is currently being contested in South Africa by homeless folks from 48 countries. The tournament has brought together more than 500 homeless men who presumably are getting their back on track through 4-on-4 street football. Just like that other World Cup, there are rankings for the teams involved in this one. Personally, we think Poland’s homeless aren’t worthy of their number 2 spot, but that will be decided on the pitch, we mean, asphalt. The final will be played on September 30 and you can watch the action live on the tournament’s webcam.
